Artificial Intelligence in the Sourcing and Recruiting Process

Welcome to this HRM E-Portfolio on artificial intelligence (AI) in the sourcing and recruiting process.  The objective of this website is to help users gain a better understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of AI in human resource management (HRM).  Examples of how companies integrate AI into their sourcing and recruiting strategies will be explored, alongside the current successes and challenges associated with applying AI in the hiring process.  Definitions of keywords that are important to understanding this topic will be explained.  There will also be the usage of references from reputable primary sources, including Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and Wall Street Journal.  A host of graphics and videos will be included to support the content being discussed.

AI and machine learning are rapidly evolving technologies that offer unique benefits to companies interested in creating more efficient talent acquisition processes.  Nevertheless, the integration of AI into the recruiting process remains a controversial topic.  Some experts consider AI to be helpful in streamlining the hiring process and reducing the time recruiters spend on repetitive tasks that do not add value to the candidate experience.  Others deem AI to be a potentially biased technology that should warrant skepticism.  To further understand the impact AI has had on the HR departments of companies, real-world applications of AI and machine learning in the current job market will be examined.  Finally, considerations will be made about the future of AI in HR and what steps both recruiters and job seekers can take to use this information to inform themselves about the most effective hiring practices.
